Kia ora, hello and welcome!
My name is Suzanne Rea and I am a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Specialist and Consultant based in beautiful Aotearoa New Zealand.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Teaching Conjoint Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Education Degree, as well as full teacher registration and certificates in Pikler® Pedagogy and Rudolf Steiner Education. I’m also a trained hatha yoga teacher specialising in prenatal, postnatal and restorative yoga and meditation.
I’ve been involved in the field of Early Childhood Care and Education for 20 years and during this time have: led and managed childcare settings in both Aotearoa New Zealand and the United Kingdom; worked as a lecturer to student teachers undergoing ECE teacher training; and supported teachers and families/whānau through one-on-one consultations, workshops and professional learning & development.
I am also a wife and a step-mumma to two beautiful souls. Becoming a parent myself has enriched my knowledge of the child and the journey of parenthood immensely and has bought new depth, understanding and compassion to my work as a coach and consultant.
My approach is holistic and unique. I combine informative education, based on latest research and alternative pedagocial approaches, with experiential and mindfulness practices. This creates a rich container which fosters learning in the head, heart and hands and results in tangible positive change to your parenting and educative experience.

Pillars Of My Work
My mission is to promote the evolution of conscious caregiving to enable each child to grow up as connected, authentic individuals who know their innate worth and precious gifts. I do this by integrating child development research with the peaceful, heart-centered caregiving appoaches that I have dedicated years to studying and implementing within my own teaching practice and parenting.

Trust in the inherent wisdom of the child and their naturally unfolding growth. Nurture the child's holistic well-being, encompassing spiritual, emotional physical and mental dimensions.

Advocate for the essential role relationship plays in a child's wellbeing in which secure, positive and responsive connections between
caregivers and children can flourish.

Empower parents/whānau
and educators to cultivate conscious and intentional caregiving practices in
which their own unqiue
strengths and wisdom
can shine.
Child-Centred
Encourage a standard of early childhood care and education in which the mana and heart of the child remains central and where their biological and developmental needs align to every aspect of curriculum.
